Ullman Sails Grenada has been established because of a love for Grenada, Carriacou and Petit Martinique, its wonderful, happy, friendly people and its magnificent cruising grounds. Grenada is the hub for anyone sailing to Panama, the east coast of the U.S, the Med or the start for the hard slog back to South Africa.
The country is a wonderful hurricane belt shelter, with many insurance companies accepting Grenada as an insurable hurricane destination. Carriacou having one of the best mangrove hurricane holes in the south-eastern West Indies/Caribbean.
Trinidad was always considered a hurricane safe zone but with all the new Covid restrictions, no yacht movement is being allowed in or out.
The new Grenada loft consists of two parts. What we like to call the East division and the West Division (Under the Car Wash).
A fabulous way to deal with canvas and upholstery upstairs and sail work downstairs. The upstairs is the Ullman Sails Grenada office and, where all work is accepted. It is also affiliated with a marine engineer and a used marine chandlery, which both have a lot of foot traffic.
The location is the perfect place for all yachts with access from Secret Harbour Marina, Mt.Hartman Bay, Hog Island anchorage, Woburn bay with Clarks Court Bay Boatyard across the way, Calivigny Island, Le Phare Bleu marina, Egmont and Westerhall anchorages. All easily accessible (aside from Egmont and Westerhall) by dinghy. Grenada marine is an easy 20 minute ride away.
Both the loft and the upstairs office have easy dinghy docks. The concrete Woburn public dock for the upstairs office and the floating dock for delivery of sails direct to the Sail Loft under the Car Wash.
